Community Events

Add energy and atmosphere to your event
Drum Up Big provides facilitated Rhythm Circles for communities events, parties and festivals etc. We supply the drums, shakers, guiros and bells and instruct participants on how to play a number of basic African rhythms which are then layered to produce engaging and energising polyrhythms. Participating in in-the-moment group music making has beneficial effects on health and wellbeing.

We can cater for small or large groups. Our team makes sure that there’s a solid backbeat being played in order to keep everyone on task and in time and to build success into the experience for all participants, even those who have never played music before.

Recent clients include TasCare, MONA, The Salvation Army, The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Hobart City Council, Glenview Community Services, Glenorchy City Council, Mental Health Carers TAS, CanTeen,  OAK Tasmania and Langford Support Services
